I was watching deleted scenes from House, on DVD and there came a point when a certain character contracted a deadly incurable disease(being vague for House fans out there). But this is never mentioned ever again in that season or another and the character is in nearly every episode after that.

So my question... Do deleted scenes count?

Death has been all around me this past month and it had me in a melancholy mood all morning.

Thankfully we had a call at work for a hospice patient (Hospice meaning a place for people who are dying). There I was in the back of the ambulance with her. She rolls over and looks at me....

Her "You look like someone just died, who was it?"
Me "How did you know?"
Her "People stare at me like I'm already dead every day, I'm used to it. So come with it, who died"

I explained to her my comparably tiny problems. She then gave me the best wisdom ever.

"Dream as if you will live forever and live like you will die today. God takes those who He takes so be ready. Every day, decide on one thing you want to do, one thing for yourself... hug your wife, call your mom, take a walk, take a long shower, read, or just do nothing.... and don't go to sleep until you've done it. Life isn't about going to special places on vacations, it's about what you make of your time where your at"

I was reading this guy and some... genius tore up Keith Green for being a "pot head" and accidentally killed himself and his children in a plane accident. This bothered me a little.

The church has a problem with being two-faced. Liars, cheaters, and Gluttons are alright sins, the church will forget about those. But drugs and homosexuality, those automatically are worse than anything else.

Sin is sin. No matter what. No other way about it. If you cheated on a test your freshman year, then you are just as bad as the guy who cheats on his wife nightly with an arsenal of hookers.

I Want to REWARD You

There is a special reward... how about free Chipotle, for the first person who can satisfactorily answer this question. This isn't some trivia, this is me honestly wanting to know the answer.

How is it possible for us to "run out of water"? I mean, even if we leave the water running when we brush our teeth, it goes down the drain, to the sewer pipes, then to a water treatment plant then back into the earth. Where is anything lost? even if we throw it on the ground it will evaporate and then come back as rain....

The only was I conceive that we can really run out of water is do launch it into outer space... which as far as I know, we don't do.

If you don't know, I've been an EMT for about 8 months and I finally have a full time job in Springfield working on an ambulance. This is the hardest company in the Greater Miami Valley area to get onto, they pay the most, and revered as the most employee friendly company around.

I understand the meaning behind it, I understand and appreciate what it stands for and why we celebrate it... but isn't the real triumph of the Christian world not when Jesus rose but when He died? Shouldn't we celebrate more the day he died not the day he rose?

This conference is a lot like when your almost old enough to drive. It seems so cool, you can't wait, you've promised yourself that this day wouldn't blow. But after you drive for a few weeks it's old business.

Granger, a gorgeous campus, wonderful building, but I'm not that impressed with the "Maximizing Media". It's more like "How to start media in your Church" The only thing that I can actually walk away from is the Adobe After Effects class. It is SLIGHTLY informative, but it's nothing I couldn't of found out after a few hours of fiddling around.

They tried, and I want to give them credit... but it feels like the day I found out Santa wasn't real.

I've, for as long as I can remember, had dreams that involved me flying but just as soon as I get off the ground I end up falling.

Thanks to one of my friends who is a psychologist, he psychoanalyzes me when he comes to visit(He calls me his biggest mystery) and all I have to do is buy him 2 fish sandwiches from McDonalds; anyways, turns out I have "unresolved fears and a subconscious seatbelt that is inhibiting me from breaking free"

This being said my new goal is to... un-inhibit myself over the next few months. Maybe then I can proverbially fly.

I have had many fears in my life... all of which I overcame. Spiders, not a problem.
Snakes, who cares.
The dark, damned creepy but still no longer bothersome.

But I still can't shake this fear of the Dentist. If I don't go to the dentist regularly, then that means I will develop cavities which means I will have to go more often... so the only way I can avoid the dentist is by going to him. Now that blows.

We won. This service was a hard one tech wise. Lights were dying, sound was fading, and Pastor's brain is kicking the bucket. The flow was all off and yet it was an impacting service.

Why Christianity is Crap

Christians are the laughing stock of the world, why? Well Christ said it himself, a house divided among itself cannot stand. We fight and fight and fight against each other, undermining our "competing" denomination's local church. You wonder why Islam is the fastest growing religion? Because Christians cannot come to a conclusion who God is... so if we can't collectively decide who God is then why should anyone gives us any credibility.

Catholics claim they are the only real Church, Lutherans can't make up their mind if they are Catholic or Protestant, Quakers... well... they are unique, Protestants who hate Pentecostals and Charismatics and try to limit God, Pentecostals who try to liberate God, and then Charismatics who try to... well it seems like they can't get along with anyone.

You wonder why people hate us? Look in the mirror. We are to busy fighting each other, too busy trying to limit God, too much time trying to "free" God from those who limit Him... It's a novel idea to think that we can LIMIT a GOD even more hilarious to think that HUMANS have the ability to Liberate a God.

My advice is this. Catholics, you ain't all that; Quakers... damn good job being yourself; Protestants, Shut the hell up; Pentecostals and Charismatics, get over yourselves. You subscribe to the same God so at least pretend to get along.

I heard someone once preach that there are two types of Christians. The ones that became a Christian to save themselves from Hell, and those that chose to follow Christ just because He deserves to be followed. And the category we fall into reflects our salvation.

That made me think things over for a moment. Hypothetically, even if being a Christian couldn't save you from Hell, would you still be one?
